Been a bit of an interest as of late with the staff so I'd thought I'd mention it to the people not sitting on a golden chair.

Basically, we're using Doomsday which is a front-end for jDOOM used to play anything from DOOM to Heretic and to Hexen. The front-end also sports 3D monster renders in all games and redone graphics among a lot of things done with it.

Make sure you get the addons to do that though...

I put mine in "doomsday/data/jdoom/auto" but your results will vary. You can do either or just as long as it is checked on the left side in addons. Multiplayer does work though it's only been tested for 2P so far (where it can go to 16 at least). Relatively little lag.

So yea.

Also forgot to mention that, though it's dated, K and I made a few maps for DOOM 2 back in the day.

You can grab them here... They're primarily for death-matching.

K did map 1 and 3, I did map 2 and 4. I have picked up a few texture errors on, at least, map 2 but they're few and they're nothing major so far.

Anyways, I'm up for any sorts of Doom action, but I mostly prefer co-op. Of course, I could show my superb skills in deathmatch

I'm actually a bit more partial to ZDoom if only because it has a bit more features than Doomsday, and well...

To that end, a good mutliplayer client seems to be ZDameon. I have no fucking clue how to actually set up a server (too fucking many dialog boxes and buttons), but if nothing else it's got somewhat good online support.

...

As for Doomsday's online support, it's... well, I've had a few problems with it :\
