Well there was a LOT to cover in the guide, from strategies on the maps (which weren't exactly all too helpful) to mathematical formulas for leveling, stealing, attacking, and such, and stats on all characters and items.

It was REALLY helpful. Given that D3 does a lot more than 2 I expect the strategy guide to be just as thick or maybe thicker.

6 hours in already, Hiryuu? I expected nothing less.

(...actually I DID expect less.)

Oh, I also checked around... seems like low stock numbers because it is NIS and Atlus is handling distributing. But it's obviously selling like hotcakes because Disgaea has actually made a name for itself in North America. Some stores had shipments delayed though, so sucks to be you guys. :\

(And hey, Disgaea PSP and Disgaea 2 both required additional printings, and Disgaea 1's joining the PS2 Greatest Hits lineup next month. So there ya go.)

They just had to have Vic Mignogna do the lead character in here...

I mean the whole line-up is made of epic win for the VAs. The game, thus far, as made me laugh quite hard.

Reviews for the game are good so far... oh wait.

WTF was Ryan Clements on in the IGN review?!? I mean, as soon as you see the line "2D is totally fine, but Disgaea 3's visuals are unacceptable"...

I think they needed to have the guy who did the Another Take portion do the review.

I love how it's barely a 6.7 when all the other reviews are more like 8-9.

Actually it's more the tone. Even the reviews that are giving it 7.5's and such are generally positive reviews, basically stating that the game isn't for everyone and that the graphics may detract from it a little bit. Fine.

But when you penalize the game as a whole for the graphics... welcome to the next-gen age.

For those of you who HAVEN'T kept up to date on what's going down, DLC for Disgaea 3 has been released.

The software package has also updated to 2.0. Seems the classroom has a few additions amongst other things. Not quite sure what the story is.

Oh shi-

If I'm reading this right...there seems to finally be a way for people to compete with each other in Disgaea globablly.

The system is incomplete and is not yet available for download...but it seems they are definitely working on something that could become VERY intriguing...
