It's been confirmed from Sega, and you know what, I like the idea. Secret Rings with it's few problems fixed and it could be a great game. Anyone with me on this? Hell, who knows what direction they are taking it, it could be a 2D platformer

I hope they make this one right, Secret Rings had some faults but was all in all one of the few new good sonic games. I hope they continue the trend with this one. let's just hope they won't have the sword break the speed that Secret Rings had. Maybe if they just used it for slashing enemies as you run by or some sort of platforming puzzles....

Time will tell I guess.

IMO, all the Sonic games since Sonic Adventure 2 have been way to gimmicky. This one doesn't look much better.

I broke the cycle somewhere around Sonic Heroes, and I wish others would wake up and do the same. The Sonic you know and love is never coming back, not as long as certain people are still in charge. I think only a different development team and a complete reboot of the series can save it now.

I see stuff like this and for some reason it still affects me. I can't explain why... it just... does.

Luckily, we have ROM hackers willing to try and revive what Sonic should be about. It's not official, but perhaps that's a good thing.
