In the world of the nameless game, reality is a dark, twisted nightmare through which your character must struggle in order to find a way out of the death sentence imposed for playing the game. In this version of existence, the player must hold the DS vertically, like most adventure games have you do. From time to time, however, the player must enter the nameless game itself to find answers. Here is where things get weird. The game (which, due to an apparent ROM corruption, has an illegible title screen) is a a blatant imitation of roleplaying games from Nintendo's Famicom period, specifically Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. The DS has to be held horizontally for these portions of the story, which only adds to the bizarre disconnect in styles.

I hope we get this game.

But chances are, we'll never see it.

This is one of those ones that comes along and, well... it's something different. New. Interesting.

And...

Ah, I remember seeing a trailer for that somewhere. It looks great, but it also looks like the kind of thing that never leaves Japan, which makes me worried.

A new, original game comes out and odds are we'd never see it.

It makes me sad that the only games to ever look forward to are either unoriginal games or sequels. I would buy this game and enjoy it if it did ever come out here.

Like was said last night, nobody takes risks any more. If there's even a tiny chance something could fail, Congolmo won't publish it.

So we get stale rehashes of the same thing over and over. See also: Final Fantasy re-re-releases on the GBA, DS, etc.

To do that, you'd need to wait until one is written, which could take a while. It sucks that my high school doesn't offer Japanese. They have a course for Mandarin but no Japanese. I'm going to take it in College, if at all possible.

The story seems good. It's interesting how you change gameplay styles to get further in the game.

I hope to see this sometime in the future.

GameFAQs page (Thanks, Acmlm!)

Cross you fingers that we might get this. It was only released recently, so... The World Ends With You was released one year later.

Hopefully that isn't the case here (sooner is good), but...
