Presenting true 1:1 motion control.

Sounds good and all, but I'm wondering where the nunchuk goes. It looks like there's a port on the bottom of the thing, but it's covered right now.

I'm fairly positive it's a passthru port.

Take the cover off (probably a hinge) and the nunchuck should fit right in.

If they were built in, wouldn't that increase the cost? Or would it basically keep it at the same price to compensate any possible price drops?

Ah, I don't really care.

1:1! Whoo!

Now we just gotta wait even longer for third party companies to even show ability in programming something to use it decently.

Improving the motion control in the Wiimotes huh? Hmm... I guess we'll see more games actually using motion control now. The only one I can think of that really uses it is Boom Blox and even then...

The Wii really should've had 1:1 motion control from the start, for example, TP would've been much more fun if the sword was controlled like that. Why advertise the system as being so interactive if the motion control isn't precise enough to feel that way.

It is Nintendo. They can practically say anything and people will eat it up.

And it happened.

Iwata AND Miyamoto? Something's brewing there.

The Nintendo presser sounds really interesting because nobody has an idea what they have planned with Motion Plus. I mean, it sounds EXTREMELY suitable for Kid Icarus but if that's not appearing at E3, then what is it for? The hints are that they'll have a few big titles there for the hardcore crowd (as well as a bunch of casual stuff and Animal Crossing Wii is a lock) but what else could be specifically used for that?

If there are new games for major Nintendo franchises, though... geez, I dunno. Be nice to see a NEW franchise for once. Too early for a new Mario game, so... a new Zelda? (And to be fair, because Microsoft did it with FFXIII, it would have to be the last thing announced; everyone seems to be following Steve Jobs' example and saying "one more thing..." at the end.)

I'll say at least one of the following: Zelda, Kirby or Pikmin (I have a funny feeling about that one).

So far the big news:

Animal Crossing Wii with a microphone to talk to others across the world.

Grand Theft Auto DS (Chinatown Wars)

Wii Sports Resort with Extended WiiMotionPlus jacket

Wii Music

Overall: Big disappointment. Nothing for the core gamer. No big announcements that we didn't really know about.

"Nothing for the core gamer."

GTA: Chinatown Wars and Spore Creatures (I'm interested in this) say hi - even though they're *DS* titles!

This was the weirdest press conference. What they showed looked GOOD... but they didn't show much! And there weren't any major surprises... Wii Music looks like it plays really well and has a lot of variety, Wii Sports Resort looks fun, people will like the microphone in Animal Crossing, but still they showed a bunch of solid stuff and nothing that screamed out great.

I found it hilarious that the crowd was silent and polite until they all geeked out at the mention of Chinatown Wars. That game has the potential to be soooooo racist.

I want to see if there's more first party stuff on the floor; and if there is, why not do the quick promo video with highlights from all the games? Very perplexing.

So it wasn't a bad press conference... nor a good one... not even average... it was just odd and perplexing. Won't turn off the fans, won't make many new fans... status quo?

:/

Nintendo's too busy Breaking the Psychological Barrier to remember the bore gamer...

So yea... 'Twas interesting, but was a big disappointment overall the hype it got.

It's just Nintendo being secretive to me.
You guys know they do that, right?

They're probably gonna show up last day of E3 with Kirby and Star Fox everywhere or something.

You never know.

The funny thing is that most of the games announced are going to make Nintendo a ton of money.

Might not appeal to all fans but it's not like they have no major sources of revenue coming in.

So no one here wants Animal Crossing: City Folk? I'm sure to get it and as soon as I can, whether there's voice chat or not. All I want is another town to make, more collectibles to get and new animals to talk to.

Still, there's not much else there that I want, although my brother really wants the Wii Sports Resort for the sword fighting.

Psh... We never said that! That game is going to be amazing!

What disappoints us is the "lack of" revealed games.
