I'm currently working on MK64 but I never find people interested by hacking this game :@

Is there any MarioKart64 Hacking Community, board, website ?
I think I've found interesting data such as textures in the game, it could be interesting to build an editor for it but it misses me some informations, and maybe knowledge on ROM Hacking.

Is anyone working on MK64 ???

There used to be an mk64 editor on the acmin boards by HyperHacker, but the download is non-existant now so you can try to talk to him there, but I do not know what happened to the editor

Yes, I saw it but the download is down, screenshots were interesting, but it seemed to be a beta test program, maybe he will update it.

I decompressed all the MIO0 data, about 3000 MIO0 fragments for 10 or 11 MIO0 segments.
Every texture correspond to a MIO0 fragment.
Compressed texture are organized in segments because the game don't load all textures in RAM.
Some segments, corresponding to the Kart or the letters/numbers, are always loaded.

Compressed texture offsets are not pointed by anything in ROM, every texture must have ID number I've to find.

If I find a way to insert decompressed textures in the ROM, I could build a MK64 texture editor tool.

even though the download is down, when it was still up it was uncompiled i think. It was some sort of SDL, im using a mac btw so maybe that was the problem at the time. Oh well good luck.
