Possibly on the way? I'm not the biggest Mega Man fan around but I'm sure some of you here are, so here's some hope for a new canon Mega Man game.

Almost sounded like something out of a preview back in the NES daze...or something Mega Man III hoped to be.

... Huh. I totally didn't see that one coming.
Sounds really interesting, a classic Mega Man title that plays and feels just like the original NES ones would be a really nice thing indeed. I just hope that Inti Creates will manage to make the game as well-designed as Capcom themselves did it years ago.
Also, I wonder if this game will connect to the events in Mega Man 8 in some way, story-wise. Personally, I doubt it, but I guess we'll see. (not that I really care, though, this will still be an interesting game)
(Also, Splash Woman. Neat, didn't see that one coming, too.) |

 Inti Creates
It still suprises the shit out of me that these giant, big-name developers would license out the series that made them.
Taito licensed out Bubble Bobble (which was released on the DS as a broken mess), now Capcom's giving away Mega Man?
I just hope that it isn't ruined... I guess we'll just have to wait and see

This would be a perfect chance for this game to be absolutely awesome and shatter the vision I'm having about this being a very rofl-tastic game in fail when it comes out...

They already were, Mega Man Zero and ZX and the like were all created by them.
I know the general opinion may vary, but personally, I didn't like those games too much..
That's why I have this fear that this new game will be similarly "meh". :\

Inti Creates is the same group who did the first three Mega Man X games, too.
...I enjoyed them (and the Zero/ZX series), at least. |

 | | I always thought the same team did Mega Man 1-8 and Mega Man X1-X5. Then others for X6-X8, MM&B, the Zero/ZX series, Legends, etc.
Hm... No idea.

Where'd you get that info? Inti Creates wasn't formed until 1996, and MMX was released in 1994.
Unless you mean they worked on the X series while they were still Capcom employees...

At least the developers aren't incompetent.
Having said that... DEAR GOD I WANT THIS GAME RIGHT NOW. ^____^ Especially since I'm on a major Mega Man kick at the moment.

Capcom is horrible at translating.

I actually thought the Mega Man Legends series was translated very well. The voice acting was really great, for the most part, especially for the Bonne family.

 | | Legends was a big fluke. No idea how they managed to pull it off. Even the Phoenix Wright games had some blatant errors.

Now you people are making me sad there isn't a third Legends game. Aside, looking forward to this, I liked the Zero games, and ZX, so this makes me very happy. The 8-bit thing sounds pretty cool too. I've always really liked NES music for whatever reason.
