So a step-daughter gets raped and the punishment for this person is death.

I need to quote...

Kennedy was convicted of sexually assaulting his stepdaughter in her bed. The attack caused severe emotional trauma, internal injuries and bleeding to the child, requiring extensive surgery, Louisiana prosecutors said.


Death penalty being 'cruel and unusual' against an eight-year-old that has to live with whatever she got for the rest of her life. I just...don't...get it. Life without parole, sure, but that doesn't necessarily mean that 'no parole' thing will be taken into account (since there have been cases of that ending after 20 or so years for some w/ "good behavior").

Arguably, this does. Maybe not physical ending of life, but mentally and emotionally?

Disgusting.


Maybe karma will get him while he's in prison.

Which would be better...being dead...or being through what she got and living through it and having to deal with what she had for the rest of her days?

I agree on the prison thing though. They frown on that...the inmates...

I couldn't agree more. I can see why people from a country that is used to death penalty can't even imagine how a country can work without it, but hopefully this kind of thing will help to get rid of capital punishment forever.

Law isn't supposed to be too subjective, you know.

Indeed.

So in a way, the guy might be in real trouble. Because when even inmates think a crime is disgusting

(but apparently, they try not putting rapists, and more importantly, child rapists with other criminals)
