I am thinking about making a Yoshi's Story Level Editor, and I need you guys to tell me everything you know about the ROM right now because it will help a lot! thanks What I also need is Hex commands, where the levels are stored, banks, ETC.

a little bit of advice, next time you will make an editor,

1) show you already have knowledge of hacking the game

2) make sure you have googled it

3) show us some pictures providing you have romhacked this already.

BTW what were you going to use to make it and also was it gonna be mac friendly.

Noones seem to have mentioned this, but if you can't find information on Google, I'm pretty sure noone here is going to have any. ROM hackers tend to put their found data out on the internet, so it looks like you are on your own.

I know it well
It will be supported on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Solarious.
And a few other reasons

Perhaps you should begin by discovering what is the RSP microcode for this game and then looking at some RSP plug-ins source code.

At 0xB41FA: RSP Gfx ucode S2DEX 1.06 Yoshitaka Yasumoto Nintendo

Finding RSP commands in the ROM is quite easy (just search E700000000000000 for "entry-points"), the problem is to figure out where/how the vertexes are stored, if there is compression, etc. But... good luck!

By the way, you will really need to discover what is "CMPR" and "SMSR00", as there is LOTs of data blocks surrounded by this.

I knew that CMPR Might be the textures, and SMSR00 is the Compression (like MIO0 and Yaz0), but the problem is, no one seems to have found this before and it will be really hard to decompress that way I am going to have to think about this for a while.
