I'm excited!!! Finally, I won't have to play it on my computer! And new modes as well. Cutscenes too!

Mark your calendars people.

I should find a way to put random messages here.

Well, we already knew about the Kirby remake, but this sort of confirms things (and release date, yay~)

However... I'm quite dissapointed as they don't talk about a possible wifi co-op mode... =/ And only two new games.

I still hope it has wifi anyways...

I've really enjoyed Kirby Super Star on the SNES, and then I heard about a remake on the DS, and I got excited.

Everything seems to be the same except for updated graphics, new modes, and wireless co-op. I liked how co-op worked on the SNES except I couldn't really have another person with me playing much. Now it's wireless co-op, but I bet the mini-games can be single-card, and co-op multi-card. I still like it, though .

I'll have a lot of fun with this once it's released.

Well, this game will be interesting, but to be honest, I'd rather like a completely new game instead of these remakes.

Yes, Squeak Squad was way too easy and short, but I still enjoyed it, because it was a new "experience", so to speak.

Then again, for people who didn't get the chance to buy and enjoy Super Star for the SNES back in the day it was still new, this will be a "brand new" game, I guess..

I'm really really curious to see what these two new modes are. :3

...think Meta Knight Ultra is like Meta Knightmare?

I honestly thought Meta-Knightmare would've been a billion times more fun if Meta Knight was replaced with Kirby in the various cutscenes. It wouldn't have made any sense, but would fighting against himself make sense? No.

I'll be buying it, new modes are reason enough. And it's a mixed bag really, I'll probably like this more than I did Squeak Squad, but it kinda hurts that a remake is better than a new thing.

Psh. New games are so pre-GBA.

Why make a new game if you can make just as much money--and spend less time and resources--remaking one that the newest generation of gamers probably has never seen?

Yeah, it sucks for us old-timers, but unfortunately it makes a lot of sense from an economical standpoint.

Hell, you don't even have to remake it. Just slap a lower price tag on it than it was originally ($50? Make it $40!) and call it new.

SMB (now re-released in various forms over 9 times) is a perfect example!

They need to re-do a lot of rites of passage games that were meant for the hardcore.

Battletoads is one such idea.

But then again there are some assholish games that make it out even today every so often but...most suck. At least with BT you knew it was made to kick your ass and still be beatable in a good way.

THIS GAME....Was one of my faaaaaaavorite SNES games. I used to play it with my sister and mom every single day when it came out. And we got 100% complete. It is so timeless. It was and always will be the height of Kirby games.

The series peaked here. Dreamland 3 was just felt like it was missing just something, Kirby 64 was very unique but did not feel quite right for some reason, and the GBA games...they were very, very good but I really feel like they were just trying to squeeze as much uses out of that one engine as they possibly could ._.;

Since you could kind of say that Super Star was Sakurai's last Kirby game it is no wonder the other ones lacked a little extra something, his touch. I loved Air Ride for that very reason, I suppose...

I am buying this game the very second it comes out. You can be rest assured of that!! Just pleeeeease, let them do this remake proper. I have high hopes, after all. A Sakurai masterpiece without Sakurai feels funny, but I am looking forward to this in all the right ways

This game.
Is awesome.

Just thought I'd let everyone know.

Why? Simple; these guys:

(Phan-phan was only in the GBA remake, but the rest were all in Kirby's Adventure.)

Also, possible spoiler.

Oh, and a mode in which Meta Knight goes through the entire game, beside the fight with Meta Knight (gee, I wonder why?), the castle in Great Cave Offensive, the place you get Copy from in Milky Way Wishes, and the fight with Marx (he fights someone else instead).

There's also a more difficult Spring Breeze called "Revenge of the King", an abbreviated arena in which you play as a Helper called "From Helper to Hero", and an arena with all the new bosses (including the pumped up versions of the Spring Breeze bosses from Revenge) called "The True Arena".

Revenge of the Meta Knight and the RPG boss in Great Cave Offensive got new translations, too.

I completed the entire game not too long ago, and I have to say, it's pretty much superior to the original in every aspect (I had expected to be disappointed, really!).

...You'll just have to unlock Megaton Punch and Samurai Kirby.

I am really having fun with this. I like how they kept most of the secrets from the original, and the new modes are fun and challenging . I'm almost done with the game, except for the last mode which I am having a hard time clearing. I knew this was going to be a challenge.

I agree. It would've been better with wifi co-op mode, and would've definitely made it more fun.

This is the reason I'm not getting it.
I already have Kirby Super Star, but I haven't been able to play 2-player mode in years. I was looking forward to playing with my friend again, but then this happened. Oh well... Maybe he'll come over again some day. (Or maybe I'll have to set up a netplay session, which is pretty much just as likely to happen.)
Either way, I'm not getting this any time soon.
