Attempted. Failed.

In checking the logs, it's apparently too much for the LCD display on this Shitpaq laptop and therefore cannot be used as a resolution (outside LCD display size or something of the sort).

LCDs have a set max-size; if it isn't blurry (like a badly-resized image), that's usually as high as it goes.

My old 250MHz laptop went up to 800x600, so I wouldn't doubt if that was the max.

It went from 64 to 320.

Just dropped a 256MB stick in there, maxing the mobo. It has a 64MB NON-REMOVABLE RAM chip in the mobo. That chip goes bad, that mobo's bad.
