Seems any port I try in ZSNES with this new connect is not connectable to other people with. I checked the first 2500 ports on this thing and only 21, 22, and 2000 come up open. That said, uTorrent, etc., don't work.

No firewall, no router.

What do I do to get this resolved?

but other ports work...like internet browsing? does normal internet traffic work? if so, maybe the person you are connecting to can be on port 80?

Got it figured out.

The service I was using was assigning a shared IP / private IP for my use. If you tried to direct connect to me, you wouldn't be able to get through for a two-way connection. I got that resolved.

I'm actually suprised you suggested this, since most ISPs in the US (and several others I know of) block port 80 outgoing, along with 25 and some others.

Then again, I guess if you have no reason to be dealing with it, you wouldn't know, so...

I've never had problems hosting off of port 80, so I've never run into the problem. And I have PacBell, SBC, AT&T as my internet provider.

Strangely, when I had Verizon DSL they didn't block port 80, but now they do on FiOS internet... You'd expect the company to at least be consistent.

In reading up port 80, there were ways around it by tunneling to port 8080. That was also blocked, however.

Most of the concerns I read were people that were pushing a heavy server on that port. FiOS...isn't that REALLY high speed? You really can't be surprised if they decide to block it then for those having a lot of throughput out.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Verizon, consistant. This is hilarious. They're a horrible ISP.
