Group wants Wi-Fi banned from public buildings
A group in Santa Fe says the city is discriminating against them because they say that they're allergic to the wireless Internet signal. And now they want Wi-Fi banned from public buildings.

Arthur Firstenberg says he is highly sensitive to certain types of electric fields, including wireless Internet and cell phones.

"I get chest pain and it doesn't go away right away," he said.

With all the different types of things.. radio ... satellite... and other things... even if you are allergic to "waves" I seriously find it hard to believe the banning wi-fi would help.

Even look at the cell phone thing, the waves are broadcast all over, does he want the towers shut down too?

Well the sun also shoots waves/rays - whatever you want to call them - too. We don't seem to be allergic to that do we? (Ok... so we get sunburned, but that doesn't count...)

Uhh, yeah. Banning internet isn't going to do a thing. We get how many types of electromagnetic rays coming from the sun as it is. I wonder if they heard about it from the doctor, or if everyone's just assuming it's Wi-Fi

I can hear TVs through walls via tinnitus which occurs whenever one is on, and in the direction of the TV.

That said, do you see me calling for them to be banned? No. I'm just somewhat electrosensitive. (Cell phones burn my ears and tickle them, too)
