Same for me, I don't need a heavy resource hog (hello McAfee/Norton, and yes I know there's better free alternatives) to keep my system clean I haven't even used an antivirus in years ...

I did from 1992 to 1998, I still mess around with a Macintosh emulator at times ... with really old software, though

For some ridiculous reason my mother made me install Norton on this computer, which paralyzed it and made it impossible to do anything- I had to disable it as soon as I could.

I still have to scan occasionally since my brother uses this computer, and he has no sense of how to use a computer safely...

I've hardly had to use any antivirus programs lately. I know what to search for, and how to not to get my computer infected.

I had to install Norton on my computers because I didn't have anything at all that will make my computers less vulnerable to spyware/viruses, and I have never heard of any other antivirus programs out there.

I still use Norton, but when the subscription for it ends, I'm switching to something else.

Norton?

Ha ha ha ha.

Windows XP x64 is my OS of choice, currently. I am staunchy anti-Vista. Linux I can use, but only when needed--and Mac... I just don't touch anything Mac.

I also had a Mac from 1992 up until 2000. The same Mac from 92 all the time. I've been wanting to run its really old software for a while now but I just never get around to actually setting everything up to play it. For when I actually do get motivated though, which emulator do you recommend I use?

I use 2 emulators, but mostly the first:
- Basilisk II for 680x0, running MacOS 7.5.3
- SheepShaver for PowerPC, running MacOS 9.0.4

My old one was a Macintosh LC II with 7.0.1, also the same one the whole time I still have it now but the hard disk is dead ...

I use Windows XP Pro, with SP2.

I put one batch of spyware on it in the last two years (or something like that) but other than that, I scan anything and everything I download (besides, most of it is torrents anyway, and no comments/small amount of seeders = no download)

I doubt I'll ever use a Mac, mainly because of game compatability.

I use Mac OS X Leopard and Windows XP. I generally use my Mac, but I use Windows when I need to.
I've used Linux in the past, but I didn't really do much with it.
Before all that, I used my Amiga 500. Yep.

Gentoo Linux and sometimes Windows. I never have virus problems in either, I just find linux runs smoother and does things more logically.

Ubuntu and Vista.
Because I can.

I, for some weird reason, always virtualise Windows Neptune. I have strange taste...
