I think most have already heard of my car problems as of late...may as well make a thread on it.

That'd be it. 1989 Mitsubishi Montero V6. Obvious sign it needs paint near the windows...that might get fixed as early as tomorrow if I get my ass up. Had in a new transmission, new clutch, new clutch slave valve, TWO brake master cylinders (one went south a little over a year after I got it, no warranty), a radiator...heck what haven't I done to this thing aside from a new engine.

Sure gets up a road well in 4WD if it needs to now though.

Wanna get this for it though.

So...anyone else?

Cool plate I do not drive however. Never even got my license ._. but I might do it very soon. Room mate wants to get us car. Might help her next semester when I see her again. Do not know if I will even drive it. I do not have the reason/need to and then I would probably be terrible because I am a asian and a woman driver. (you have to laugh at it really)

I, thank goodness, do not have a car. With the price of gas the way it is... I won't be buying a car until I absolutely have to (which hopefully is in many years' time). For now, my feet/the bus/my bike serve me just fine.

The bus.

I don't drive. I've already been in nearly enough heart-stopping moments as a passenger, thanks.

I do not have a car, yet. I'm getting my license in October though, and I don't know where things are going from there. Already have the silly permit that lets you drive, but only with a licensed driver over 21 in the car with you. Useless, it is.

'91 Buick with a bad transmission. I'll be lucky if it goes over 30MPH now. Fusk.

This, mostly, though I want to drive, it's just 'too expensive to pay for the insurance.'

Bah.

Bah.

Same here- well, I take the commuter train more often than the bus (though the schedule sucks and I often have to choose between sitting at South Station for an hour or using that same hour to sit on the slower bus as it stops at every intersection in the Greater Boston area), but close enough.

2K monies or new car. That's basically your options.

Decent enough new car for me when I went through repair of my vehicle would've been about $4.5K for a comparable vehicle.

Recently the Financial Priests at the local Honda dealer blessed me with the miracle to ditch my '92 Bronco (with its coolant leaks, transmission problems, bug infestations, questionable stains) for a 2008 CR-V.

I less than three it. Two-digit gas mileage is awesome!

Silver 2002 Kia Spectra. Yaaaaaaaaawn.

On the bright side, it does get me from point A to point B without breaking down or leaking half its vital fluids or exploding.

My brother just got a 2000 CR-V which he really seems to like. I might look at getting a Honda if I ever start driving... I'm going with him to pick it up tomorrow, I hear they're huge inside
