Wrong? Drinking is alright for people underage if provided by the parent and does not get them drunk. It's some law my history teacher told me about.

Huh, according to Massachusetts law, if you're under 21 it's legal as long as you get it from your parents or grandparents; otherwise it's 100% illegal.
Apparently laws relating to alcohol differ from state to state, there are few federal laws regarding it.

The point I was leading into before that technicality owned me was that being against something simply because it is illegal is a very bad stance to take.

Good point, but I think it comes down to thinking "Hey I would love to smoke some pot or drink copious amounts of alchohol except for the fact that it is illegal and I wish to not get caught doing it, so instead I'm going to dislike people that do do it because I can't."
I'm a selfish bastard, what can I say?
