How're finals? Graduation? That crap?

Not in school? Planning on it soon, or done?

Working, even? What do you do? How're the hours/pay?
...

Or is everybody just a bundle of stress?

(I personally fall into that last one)

I am borderline passing my classes and I am not doing any of the work which is a bad thing. I have like two projects I should have done as of last Friday, but I am so close to graduation that I'm not in any mindset to attempt them. Then watch as the last day comes up and I don't pass...

Jobless as always, hopefully I'll be able to live off my parents for like a year before I actually have to start doing shit. Wouldn't mind polishing off a lot of games in that year-span before I have to "grow up".

I'll take "bundle of stress."

"Hell Week" is over. It's a week experienced only by Juniors at my school. We're assigned 3 different projects by 3 separate teachers. It's not like they do it to be evil... It's more because these teachers never communicate about assignment due dates. It's not just the projects causing stress either. All the other teachers are rushing to get the rest of their tests done, so I've had at least 2 tests everyday last week. I just finished my last project an hour ago.

And it's not just that... I have finals coming up in about 2 weeks. I also have to deal with all this college BS too. At least I took the SATs already. I wasn't stressing over that like my friends were...

Dammit... when will this all be over... ><

I'm not worried about anything about school right now, except that I might fail my English Pre-AP class. It's not that I have any problems with it, it's just that I don't want to bother spending time reading a short story so that I could pass the teat that has to do with the short story.

Every other class I have, I'm passing at least. I failed a class for the grading period last time. It just happened to be when I had a project due the week that was when I was really sick. I had to turn in the project that day and I was at home, sick with a nasty cold. I couldn't turn it in later, because the teacher wouldn't accept it late, and tt was worth one test grade and one project grade. I was also missing a lot of daily grades due to my cold.

Hopefully I could get a job when I can.

Doing fine at school, and too young to get a job. That's it for me.

Guess I'll give you an idea of some the routine stuff I do...

Burntable console's insides on the back/openable side...

Burntable console on the front side.

Few more shots of said machine, all clickable. That console takes about 4-5 days to make, wires, console and all. The front end and a few other things about the console will change depending on what the job calls for. This is but a small console on a VERY large machine but is necessary to actually control it. The final product will sit as several tons on the full back end of a large semi and is built on the floor.

This is usually my job, but sometimes I'll have to back out and do a few other things...

Simple plate build without an OS for a BADmachine console. I can build about 4 of these an hour without an OS. Both this and the other comp house Windows XP Pro SP3 when finished with each getting full updates and their respective (german) software to run what's laid out for each in terms of a job. No two machines are the same. That plate sits in a much bigger console, but the design is equally simple and usually takes a day to build...however, it's usually not my job since I focus on said burntables that I showed before this one. I'll generally only do these if the main guy who does these isn't present and we're REALLY far behind, which isn't usual.

And...of course...we'll be generally troubleshooting any of these comps that decide to come back on us as well as answer tech calls when needed, though there's usually a service tech office for this, it's about a 50-50 shot they know what to do themselves...like I do...but we'll sometimes get hopeless comps like...

Such is my job at <$12 an hour...give or take. Guess I can't complain...it's more than most people here are getting.

The stress was so intense that absolutely could NOT handle it, and had to drop out of high school. No work for me so far.

I'm a mail sorter at Citi (Shitty) Cards. Citi in general isn't too bad, but as mail sorters we are bottom tier and constantly get treated like crap especially since we're night shift. Compared to everyone else I work with though, I really don't think it's that bad. Maybe because I haven't really been there that long yet. We all just like to constantly complain really. Sure managment sucks and you got to put up with bs, but at least it's not that stressful. The main thing is just that the hours suck, 6pm to 430am, 4 days in a row, 3 days off. Even with 3 days off you feel like you have no life besides work after a while. At least after I've been there a bit longer, I can tranfer to another department with better pay, better hours and better treatment.

I do eventually plan to get my ass into college soon though so I can get a real job, but we'll see how that goes since I keep saying "next year" and "next year" is yet to come. At least this place will pay nearly all tuition when I do finally get off my lazy butt and go, I'm just really not motivated right now.

Better do a Good Enough Diploma then...or your search for work's going to be REALLY tough.

Oh boy. I have the final exam real soon and getting ready to graduate from high school. It's really frustrating studying for the finals especially Spanish.

Spanish is one of my difficult classes, but I have to do it in order to pass or graduate.

I work as a QA Analyst (fancy term for "Game Tester") for a mobile gaming publisher. We're partnered with this developer:

http://underculture.net/mobile.html

I've worked on all those games, except Pop Trivia. I was in charge of QA for Fish On!, but the only one where I got put in the credits was Sushi Samurai . I should be getting producer credit, however, for one of their upcoming games.

I think I'll do pretty well on my upcoming exams, if I can use the following couple of weeks wisely. I'm not really worried about it, though of course, it is on my mind for most of the time.

Oh, and the exams are about math (differential equations), meteorology (small scale and micro-) and physical oceanography (ocean currents and etc.).

Oh, and funny thing is, I'm actually starting to enjoy the math, but then again... that's not a bad thing.

No school (got a GED, year and a half before I would have graduated), no job. Can't find a job here.

I've been offered a free room with two different people, one halfway across the country, the other all the way across the county... so I'll probably move soon, no later than the end of summer. Better job market, and away from this damn family.

Shiny new layout!
----------------------------------------------------

Short answer: yes

Long answer:

School - AP exams are all but done with, and the rest of the year is basically busy work. Graduation is in exactly one month... yet it feels so far away...

Can this year be over yet

Job: Part time tutoring math. Been doing it for about 7 months now, and it pays well enough to give me some extra spending cash. Not to mention I practically set my own hours

Be nice if it was freaking summer already

select($option=4);

I think several blood vessels just popped.

School ends this week, but I still have way too much to fucking do since I graduate this year. I still have to check out my class ring, get three more letters of recommendation by Thursday, apply for the Pell Grant and other scholarships, buy new clothes for prom, and the week after I graduate I'm getting jaw surgery, which means that after I recover I'll just have enough time to get my driver's license before summer ends and I have to head out for college.

Also, I just found out one of my friends might be in the beginning stages of developing breast cancer.

So yes, I'm pretty stressed, so don't fuck with me
