Simplicity v1.1
Expanding to the fact that DDR/PIU/ITG are not the only games in town these days, I'll opening this for the greater good of such things like IIDX, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, etc.

Post like you did the last two times, basically. You have more areas to gloat or talk about now.

Ahh music games. I have played lots of kinds and gotten good in lots of them. Currently i am obsessing over guitar hero. I'll probably go back to attempting some more ten footers on ITG after that.

I'm still trying to figure out what I need to get MiniSM back in a "I can work on it" state. I coded myself into a dead end, as usual.

I think I need to first of all make the "measure drawing code" less hard-coded and more customizable... I should just sit down one day and work on it, bleh.

Haven't played DDR in months.....actually, ever since I moved last year...holy crap, it has been that long. I guess Supernova and XB360's DDR game pissed me off a bit too much. But with Wii's DD game, Supernova 2, maybe there's a chance that I'll get the 'ol dance pad out of storage. But for right, its all about Guitar Hero and I've improved so much since I first started. I'm working on a few songs on expert, but I can't pass hard on career mode because of two freaking songs: one I can't remember and the other is Psychobilly Freakout (great song, but a pain in the ass).

I played some Guitar Hero II on my brother's 360. I completed 3 Hard songs. Total songs I've done on that ever is now... uh, 15-20? I don't keep track.

The other is probably Carry Me Home, both of them are a pain. Carry Me Home has to many hammer on's and pull off's. Psychobilly Freakout is all about star power.

I love Guitar Hero and I'm really good at it. 5 starred every song on hard except for Pyschobilly Freakout. I was trying to play through expert career again, but the disc has become unplayable.

Nah, that song was easy. Its the same song in the Freakout set, the one where the singer is more like yelling and grunting than anything else.

IIDX is driving me insane.

I have 9 songs with no clear status on IIDX RED, but I doubt I'll get that down to 0 in another few years if I can stick with it that long. Argh.

I'm an Avid Dance Dance Revolution fan, but I got fed up with their not including Bag on any of the home versions, etc, so I just went out and bought a USB -> PS2 Adapter, and play Stepmania on my computer with it.

*yawns*

Also same goes for "Frets on Fire" for Guitar Hero.

I can't find a nice Guitar Freak Sims site, though.

IIRC DDR Ultramix 3 on the Xbox had bag on it. I think that is it though. Unless I'm mistaken.

And yeah, the US console releases aren't as strong as they could be because they choose a lot more liscenses than most. Hence why I usually just download the sims for Stepmania. The UM4 sims are a lot better to get than, say, the actual game. The songlist just isn't that great to me.

As for Guitar Freak sims... er, I wasn't aware they existed.

Probably Laid to Rest by Lamb of God. That's actually one of the easier songs in that set.

I hate the Xbox DDR's... if only because of something I logically worked out...

I can upload music to my XBox...

I can make Edits for my songs on DDR...

I can download NEW songs for DDR...

Why can't I make my own songs into songs for DDR?!

Actually no, its on there from the get-go. I know. I haven't downloaded anything on my Xbox because I don't have Live and never did. It is on there by default. Don't think you have to unlock it either...

Yeah, not the best of the DDRs. A few good ones, mostly in Ultramix 2, but overall not grand at all. Once you got to UM3 it started getting laggy (especially 4 and from what I've heard Universe). I think what makes the UM series worse is song selection. 2 had more IIDX and other crossovers than the others while also having halfway decent liscenses. Although lack of A Oni and V Oni were depressing.

Eh, don't even play the PS2 DDRs either. I have Stepmania for that. =\

The only dancing games I know of that allow custom music is Dance Studio (crap) and Pump It Up Exceed SE on the Xbox with a download available. Otherwise, that'd be it unless you hack ITG.
