I'm pretty sure that this has been known for years. (Unless it was just me, but I doubt it)
Besides, when you think about it, toilet seats aren't really that dirty. It's what's inside of them that might be dirty.

I read an article once stating that toilet seats are cleaner than some kitchen counters...

...so yeah, of course toilet seats would be cleaner than some keyboards.
