I'm sure you've seen Carl Budding meats or Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh with sliced/shaved pieces in a small container that have about 40 or so slices per pack...

How much do you use on any given sandwich?

I'll usually take a few, in or around the serving size. I feel guilty if I take much more unless I'm aiming for a Dagwood for a reason.

Eh, usually 3-5 slices. Pretty standard, surprisingly enough.

Then there's the cheese, the butter, the other meat, the lettuce...

I put more than enough slices of meat in all my sandwiches.

I put just cheese and tomato, and I have a good snack for whenever, but I don't really eat sandwiches that much so it doesn't matter

I don't use the really thin crap.

When I do (i.e., when I don't buy it), I usually use about 3 or 4.

Shiny new layout!

Anywhere from 1-5 slices.

My sandwiches are also sometimes double-deckers.

One or two, anything more is too strong and masks the taste of the other stuff.

Not really...I've seen some people use an entire Carl Budding package for their sandwich in one fell swoop. :\

I use a few pieces on my sandwiches, along with one or two slices of whatever cheese I have around. Add mayonnaise, yum.

I don't eat meat! ...On sandwiches anyway. I've never liked meat much in the first place though, so the only time I ever eat it is at dinner. My sandwiches tend to be rather boring.

4. I'd go for 6, but my grandparents really don't have the money to burn on me making my sandwiches as thick as I want 'em. We also don't usually have pickles, lettuce, tomato...

Actually, we have pickles, but that jar's fucking sealed. Nothing I've tried has gotten it open.

Have you tried to put the lid under hot water? It should make opening jars a lot easier . Because I don't think any sandwich is complete without pickles .

my sandwiches are pathetic: a single slice of meat between two sliced pieces of bread.
that's right: no lettuce, mayo, tomatoes, pickles, mustard, or anything else people would put between two slices of bread.
