Got a little bit into Battle Moon Wars. Pretty good for a SD SRPG that rips on Super Robot Wars. If you're big on Type-Moon (Melty Blood, Fate, Tsukihime, etc.) then it'll probably be up your alley. Got all three of them but the first two are the only ones I have translated up to English.

Got a newer Sega Saturn (round buttons instead of oval as my old one uses), cheap and as-is. But seems to work anyway like the spare PS2 I'd gotten a while back does.

Came with 2 controllers. A working third-party, the other a second model pack-in kind that needs repair since its plug came off (but isn't missing).

Also a fine power cable. The Naki-brand RF box will have to be fixed though, the
"FROM ANT" coax jack on it was nowhere to be found.

Not to mention finding Panzer Dragoon Orta elsewhere. It'll take me practice to learn, has unique gameplay.

I've been replaying Wind Waker over the past few days.
All that's left is to get the Triumph Forks Triforce and beat the final area place thingy. Yeah.

I've also found my Link's Awakening cart, so I started to play that again. For some reason, I don't like to continue games if I was in the middle of it and stopped playing for whatever reason, so I made a new save. I've owned this game forever many years, and I still haven't beaten it, so I think it's about time for me to finally beat it. The only downside is that my Gameboy Color has a kinda scratched up screen, and anything else I can play it on is even worse. :/
Also: The music is awesome and I think I'll be listening to it for the next few weeks.

This game is really creepy. Though after a while you decide to interact with some things and it isn't that bad.

Though I'm still not getting any close to that mouth thing that has blood near it, at least until I get the knife. Same goes for the things in the first room.

I find also funny some of the dreams look like ones I'd actually have.

Oh my. Another game using that familiar NIS engine?

I'm slowly making progress in several games (as usual). After setting it aside a while... Mass Effect is better than I remember.

I've been playing some Tales of Symphonia with my brother. I had to help him beat Abyssion on Hard so that he can finish Niflheim. It is pretty hard when you're not at a higher level with the best equips. I hope to start my own save soon. I never had time to .

I've also been playing some Touhou games. I actually enjoy playing them . I just wish I was better at them though .

Soul Nomad and the World Eaters. Kind of a new take on the SRPG engine since it uses squads instead of just single characters...kinda like La Pucelle and yet not.

I just made an army of Asagi (glitch?) + healer last night and got them to about level 350+. Crashed in bed promptly afterwards. Level for lead is at 1090 now and her stats are better than that shot.

Considering my POT. value was at 33,000 before this weekend, I'd say that's a weekend seized.

I want that game. Seriously. I do.

As for me, still playing Mana Khemia. Finished the main game, bonus dungeon slaughters me even with 100% Growth Books (basically equals lv99 in most rpgs) and "super" ultimate weapons.

I've only done one battle and it has been an hour of playtime. The story is fucked up to where I'll play it just for that, and it is rare for me to play a game solely for the storyline.

Honestly, I'll want a game that has decent storyline first before decent gameplay architecture.

That's the only reason I blasted through Xenosaga II as much as I did; the story is what kept me up at night.

I prefer, uh, gameplay. Both is best, but I can take a game with a less-than-sound storyline (see "every RPG ever") if it's fun to play.

Riviera (decent story, abysmal gameplay) fails this.
Faria (abysmal story, fun gameplay) passes.

I say "every RPG ever" because every time I play/watch one, it gets a little bit harder to remember the list of games that meets at least one out of each of the following three groups:

- The hero's love interest is either killed in the storyline or is, in fact, the final boss
- ...or an important character (i.e. brother or other family, esp. missing parent (see below))
- There is only one parent, usually that of the opposite gender (i.e. Mom for Crono)
- The hero's first main action is opening some seal/box/door/closet which releases some evil spirit/thing/doom timer/whatever that is already well on its way to dominating the world

- Involves amnesia
- Involves a roulette-chance "you're the one thing born in every millenia with the gift to save us" spiel
- Involves a "you're the only one in the universe who can save us"
- ...even if there is technology (e.g. guns, bombs) far more powerful than a human

- Has a final boss who was from another planet who was "doing it because his planet was dying", which invariably you have just killed (but will somehow be restored, aka Tales of Phantaisa syndrome)
- Has an ending in which one or more members of your party are killed or otherwise cease to exist
- Has an ending in which you end up doing something that utterly breaks something in the world forever or at least a very long time

Fairly general, but it's becoming very hard to not auto-dump RPGs into these.

Edit: Disgaea almost falters in the last category, but just barely makes it out if you get the good ending

That's what I heard.

I'd probably play the shit out of it all again. (I'm nearly done making ultimate chars now).

I mean, it's really fun. It probably wouldn't fit Xk's list (no saving the world crap = win).

And you know what'd be totally awesome and made of win?
If there really is a PSP port, have it be like the PS2 game, as in: have it in a special box, with the second half of the japanese OST, instead of the first.

I'd totally buy it again.

Got GTA4.

But that's the positive note. Wii is known to not like 1019 block memory cards, especially third party ones. Everything on it confirmed gone after trying to move Mario Party 6 to the official 251.

Auuuughh... Hundreds of hours down the drain. Both Metroid Prime games, Fire Emblem PoR, Super Smash Bros Melee, Sonic Adventure 1/2...

At least F-Zero GX and Pokemon Colosseum/XD are still A-OK!
