Apparently, graphene does a lot better job than silicon ever would. That said, THz might not be out of the question in a few years.

While graphene is a good thermal conductor, it does have its limits. It'll be interesting seeing how they avoid having it melt when the temperature inevitably does get too high.

Probably the same way they do it now: by not letting it get that high.

Modern processors take damage from being too hot as well, and most of them have controls built-in to prevent them from reaching that temperature by themselves. I don't think there's anything that can be done about preventing it from going too high because of external factors.
