Well it's school vacation week, so school isn't forcing me to do anything

And no, I'm not really doing anything... it's kind of a nice day outside so maybe I should go out there, but I'm not... and I leave for a long car ride for most of the week this afternoon, and that certainly isn't good for the earth...

Earth Day is one of the holidays that I completely ignore. If I cared, I wouldn't be at school right now and instead be planting a small tree in the garden that I got out of nowhere.

Yeah, even though it's Earth Day, I'm not doing anything special just for today.

I've never thought of Earth Day as a holiday. A holiday is a day where you are allowed to not work. But to not do work for the sake of planting trees and such is not a holiday in my opinion.

My last Earth Day was in elementary school. Shion, there are people out there who plant trees because they believe in the environment. Its just that their numbers are ridiculously small.

Earth day makes me think about the environment, but I don't actually do anything. And the planting trees thing is really stupid, when I got that tree in elementary school, there was no place to plant it, so it just died. Not everyone has space to plant a tree every year.

Oh I believe that. I don't think I have a problem with that whatsoever...it's really a good thing and I really didn't mean to have it come across as it BEING a bad thing to care about the environment in such a way...BUT...

What I have a problem of is finding the time on a day like today which everyone forgot about anyways or, worse, pulling something like Gore into this with the whole global warming to Nobel Peace Prize crap that's been debunked by that one guy from the weather channel for his one documentary that got him to where he was because it was effects taken from The Day After Tomorrow...all political...doesn't mean much towards an environment few barely understand and for people to keep spouting global warming bull when we've been having record colds this past year. :\

Yea.

But sure, more trees, more O2, why not? I just don't think there should necessarily be a day over it when I could just as easily take any day to do so. Politics for the hate. It shouldn't be or have to be the driving force behind taking care of our home.

Earth day is also my birthday, so that's probably the main reason I know when Earth day is.

I haven't planted a tree before, but I *have* planted a kidney bean and watched it grow into a small leafy plant. This was over 10 years ago, by the way.

Other than that, I'm at college, and I walk everywhere, so I'm not polluting or anything.
