Getting off of one's butt and getting a job aside, I actually do want to get a good microphone for recording things. Not just voice, but that'd be a big application for this particular purpose.

These are some of the things I want in a microphone:

• High quality input. Some microphones sound like tin cans.
• Broad frequency response. High, chirpy sounds and low, rumbly sounds need to get captured.
• Price isn't a huge issue, but I'd like something less than, say, $50.
• Preferably mountable in some way.

Anyone have any suggestions?
