Now for the kind of reply this thread should have gotten...


It's fun, but (obviously) too short... it just felt like something to get typical internet morons to make a huge stupid fad over, and I guess it succeeded at that

...

But aside from that, I think it would be an interesting idea to be expanded upon; a game where the objective is to determine how to kill the boss, perhaps with some token exploration/platforming bits thrown in.


But, you know, you're all going to spurt out "LOL YOU HAVE TO BURN THE ROPE!!!!!!!!!!", so have at it. Do whatever, I don't care.

You guys are lucky my anger has subsided >8(

I'm giving this thread one more post before 'I have to burn the thread'. If the next post is the equivalent of the square root of dumb, then it's off to the "Dumbp" with it.

I played this about a week ago, and sure it's kind of silly, but I feel it tries too hard to be a big hit like Portal (And because of idiots, succeeded). However, as said, if they made this in to a full fledged game with it telling you what to do at all times but increasingly making it very difficult, it would be rather interesting and fun to play. Shame it won't make it past this current form, guarenteed.

Oh no it won't. It has too much of a fanbase to even do such a thing as make it more in depth. You do that and you ruin what humor is in the game to begin with.

Portal did it in 3 hours. If you extended that by one hour it definitely would have grown stale with the jokes. This is great for a minute timewaster, but if you took the same jokes and extended it it definitely would grow stale and be more stupid than funny.

Actually, Shadow of the Colossus seems to be more accurate. Although, there's not exactly any platforming in it, and there isn't too much of an emphasis on exploration (nor is it needed -- but the tiny rewards you can get add up to quite a large sum over time), but exploring just to gaze at the scenery seems to be a reward in itself, but I digress.

Then again, I've only read a review of Zack & Wiki, so I could be wrong.

I find it quite humorous. The idea of doing a stupid-simple game and having a extolling song singing your praises for at least ten times the duration of the game itself is actually pretty funny.

I really don't think they were trying to do anything else but that particular gag. I don't see a point in making a big deal out of it.

I think that this game would be much more fun if there were a really complicated way to finish the level and the rope-burning would be just an easy way.
