My cat, now that I think about it, actually managed to eat a rather large hole into a ventilation grate.

We were paving our driveway, and didn't want him making footprints in it, so we locked our cats in our storage shed.. We heard loud noises coming out of the shed, and when we checked back a few hours later, he managed to bite several pieces of the grating apart..

The most damage any of my cats have done was give me multiple scratches on my leg. I don't ever remember having a shoelace or anything similar get eaten

There was a time where one of my cats ate a bird and got stomach pain. Couldn't grab him for days.

I had a cat try to eat the string from a balloon once. He forgot that the balloon was still attached though, so it was rather easy to pull it back out (and rather humorous to see a cat with a balloon stuck on his face). The next night he tried the exact same thing again...I have stupid cats.
