The main problem with the story forum is that many of those that did very well thought out stories are... not... here. Even with that, many others make dumb stories that took maybe ten minutes to come up with and have posters that post less thought out stuff.

It'd work with discipline, but eh, some people don't have the patience to think out clever and good stories, really. =\

I'd say it isn't really where it starts, but where you take it.

Sure, having a good opening is key, but unless you can keep it going (or introduce new aspects to make it less... "average" and generic)... it's pointless.

How I know this without ever posting in it (much less reading) is another matter entirely.

I'd use it more if there was more... to do in it. Unfortunately there isn't.

I do RPing elsewhere as it is, so it isn't a total loss. Its something I got into to increase my vocabulary usage and such. Its also quite fun.

Tourneys aren't hard to pull off.

Its just setting and keeping a deadline that is the issue. Nobody plays when needed.

Tournaments with this community and its related affiliates are IMPOSSIBLE to pull off. No one can keep a deadline because they have better things to do.

It's not like we're on a Case's Ladder forum, so I don't really expect anyone to do as such. It just kinda worries me about people that can't do that. If they can't even keep a damned deadline for something as small as gaming then they probably suck even worse at keeping actual deadlines in real life. That's bad for employment ops.

On the other hand, it's possible that they just don't care enough about a deadline for something as small as gaming, and only bother keeping deadlines for important things.
