| The most valid excuse I have is traffic. My office building is right by the George Washington Bridge of all places, plus I have to take the NJ Turnpike, so the traffic excuse is my best bet.
I also try to keep a good preplanned list of excuses for not coming in on the weekend when my boss asks. For example, my boss asked if I could come in this Saturday or Sunday. Since it's March, I've had the "I have to do my taxes" excuse saved up, so today I used it. And low and behold, this weekend I actually am doing my taxes  . Plus, Sunday is Easter, and I of course have plans  . |

| I've stayed home about 3 times this year because I lied about being sick (The only problem with that is that when I go into school the next day I look perfectly fine ). If I didn't do that I wouldn't get any extra days off and sometimes I can really use one when there are long periods without holidays ____________________  |

 Since I got Evie, she's become my excuse for lateness. She keeps me up all night. She wakes me by biting me. Or scratching me. When I try to get dressed, she is underfoot, or in my pants. When I try to eat breakfast, she wants to play too. When I try to leave, she wants to get out the door.
She is very very cute though, so I forgive the little attack-monster. I hope though she does grow out of some of the biting soon. Especially the 2am biting that stops me from sleeping. Oh and the bus does have me routinely late—recently they are frequently too full to pick up passengers and so I get stuck. Or they turn up late. Or they go straight past. Or once the guy got lost.
