I like waffles, especially with butter and syrup. Though they are OK without, they are much better if one puts butter and syrup on them. Syrup is a main source of taste on waffles, though, and as such I don't mind if there is no butter...however, I do mind if there is no syrup. Furthermore, I find that toasting waffles is a better way to heat them up than the standard heat-up in the microwave.
