Yeah, so in the last 18 hours or so, central Ohio went from kinda snowy to blizzard conditions. While I was able to get to work and home again just fine (note that for me, work started at 10:45PM and went to about 4:00AM), it's still pretty bad out. I'm not sure how much snow we actually got, but it was really deep just walking the short distance from my car to the door of the apartment.
So, what's the weather like where you are now? Did you get anything nearly as bad as Ohio, or was it worse?

| We had a slight cold front, ummm, last week was it, where it got down to the 60's at night, but besides that, recently its been pretty hot outside with a few storms (had a nasty thunderstorm this past Thursday).

I'm in Ohio too. I was off yesterday, but I get to go into work tonight at 6:00 assuming we aren't under a level 3 snow emergency by then. We're supposed to get another 10 inches minimum last time I checked. If I didn't live literally a block away from where I work, I wouldn't even consider going in tonight.
Seriously, you gotta love Ohio weather though. Let's see, this past week was sun-45 and cloudy, mon-65 and gorgeous, tues-45 and massive flooding, wed-40 and more rain, thurs-35 and bleh, fri-33 and OMG get ready for massive snowfall, Sat-Frickin Blizzard!
Only in Ohio can we go from 65 degrees to Blizzard in 5 days! |

 We had a snowstorm earlier this week, another today (it's snowing right now), and one more coming next week ... adding to the 10 feet of snow we've already gotten so far, soon the highest ever ...
Let's just say I haven't had good sunlight in my room (in the basement) for months

The only thing we've gotten is just... boring.
We got some rain last night, but it's already gone. I haven't seen anything that truly felt like a good storm here.
Then again, back home, it was a miracle if it even rained for more than 10 seconds every month.

There is a steady, cold rain coming down which is going to freeze overnight.

It's not the weather or anything that's going to keep me from going, it's clear roads here right now, but instead the lack of any fucking transportation. My mom's too lazy to take me and won't allow any non-relatives below 20 to take me, my dad is against himself driving during nighttime, my aunt is a Christan and is going to church tomorrow, her husband works at night, their son will likely say no because he's who he is, my brother just doesn't think he's going to do it, and none of his friends I know the condition of.
To sum it up, I'm getting upset about it, and might have to smash something if I don't go.

In fact, I just turned on ONN (Ohio News Network) for the first time, and it looks like everything from southwest to central Ohio is completely under a Blizzard warning. Turns out they are really calling this "The Blizzard of '08". I've been calling it that since I got home from work early this morning.
Columbus has apparently taken 16" of snow so far, breaking the previous record of 15.3". Also, it looks like a stretch of the highway I would've used to go back to my parents house in Springfield is closed down in the county between us, so that's a no go.
*sigh* And in two to three weeks, I'm sure there will be no sign we ever had any snow at all...

Down here, it only gets cold. The last time I remember snow was a few weeks ago. :/ (It hasn't even rained in a while...)

Hey same here! Are you a fellow west-sider? Yeah, we actually beat the record set in the blizzard of 78 for most snow to fall in a single day. 14 inches in one day, beating the record of 12.5, with a total of 20+ inches for the whole blizzard. And of course where I work was one of the only places that decided NOT to close grr. Didn't matter though, I stayed home anyway. What's really going to suck though is that you know in two days we're going to have massive flooding once it turns 50 again.

Last week it snowed twice.
In the two or so years I've been here it has snowed three times and the former was a light dusting before this one.
Where's that global warming now?
