Except for the cancer that you suddenly develop years down the road.

I'm all for non-violent means of riot control, but I do have to wonder if this might have some unknown side effects...

Wow, didn't think about that... I guess this could cause skin cancer with prolonged exposure to the beam. All the more reason to avoid it I guess.

Foil vs. Microwave = Ow! Ow! Gah! So very hot!!!

I dunno exactly about the weapon, but does it go in a 360 degree radius? Rock throwing I speak of would generally occur from the side or a distance, or even perhaps from above.

I mention it as a crowd is generally inclined to destroy whatever is burning it. :p

How often have you been on fire? Even just feeling like you are kinda ruins your cognitive abilities.

Also, microwaves can cause burns. That's about all; they're low-energy and low-penetration.

I wouldn't want to have some weird laser aimed at me that can hurt.

Meh, it just doesn't seem practical for much use. Maybe crowd control and the like, but until it is optimized to be used in war, you shouldn't use it.

Whenever something even slightly resembles a laser, people go batshit insane about it. It's understandable, but still. And hidden side effects (like SuperPill's chance of spontaneous heart cancer) are never a fun thing.

I was wondering how many these guys would need to detain a crowd of angry protestors. It seems like only one. But what if they proceed the other way. Would it be ethically to cut them off with another ray from behind if they intend to do harm in that direction too?
