I'd be more interested in a port of 2 to the PSP, since it isn't likely I'll have a PS3 any time soon

Good luck. Too much proccessing from the PS3 to go to the PSP.

But considering it's Disgaea, you'd have a better chance than most games.

I was wondering how Disgaea 3 sold in Japan... dunno if the numbers are great or not. They sold 55,000 copies the first week but they also had Super Smash Bros. Brawl to contend with. Dropped off the Top 30 sales charts after 3 weeks. :\ So I dunno.

Wouldn't it be something if the NA sales beat the Japan sales?

It's a likely thing...

Metal Gear Solid 4's already out...I don't know of anything coming out mid-August that would be in the heat to pull from the sales...but then it is Disgaea and, regardless of it being a now-known series as compared to four or so years ago, it isn't expected to out-sell everything on the market.

Oh no, of course not. But it might also have something to do with the PS3 install base as well since I think Disgaea 2 outsold it in Japan (so far).

As we've said in the past, Hiryuu is getting this on day 1 - PS3 or no PS3.

Downloadable content will be available for this game until January 2009, stating that the game is not yet finished. New content, characters, maps, scenes, you name it.

A character idea page has been made to suggest who should be recruited for Disgaea 3.

They're letting the users pick...course it's Japan only.

Got a PS3 too, btw...

If I do pick up the game when it is out I'll be sure to pick up the strategy guide as well. I can't tell you how helpful the Disgaea 2 guide helped me in the late game in figuring out what does what.
