It's pretty cool from what I've seen. Reminds me of some NES games.

Not that particularly hard, I mean, the mask guy was just to pay attention to it's attacks (and go insane in it's last form)... But that's the first boss, I don't know about the rest. - Ok, second boss is pain.

I took a break from some work, and I played through the first boss. Like you said Reimu, not particularly hard, but is very fun. It gave me the shivers since I also had that retro feel. It also reminded me of Cave Story, but I guess that's only because the main guy looks like balrog...

Which part are you failing at?

1-1: Jump-toss axes, avoid his shots. When he lines up 6 bullets, stay still and move east as they come near, for it's always the one on the left to start. Fire wave coming in? Stop attacking and head for the middle to prevent bad luck from getting a jump on you.
1-2: If you see him charging his laser eyes, walk away. Jumping will only increase the chance of getting hit. The seahorse thing drops fire and health upon death, so take it out. Those heads...if they're near the wall, treat that like the laser eyes and walk away.
1-3: Switch to spear and stand on one side. When he comes near, jump back when he jumps to above you and fling spears where you were. Done properly, should lead to no-damage victory.

I actually found a much easier way to stop the third form of the mask boss.
Stand on the leftmost ledge, and lure him to you, then sling axes. As he makes the jump to your ledge, jump over him back to the main ledge and sling more axes. When he jumps back to the main left, jump back to the left edge. The fire will never reach you, and you'll remain unscathed (if you do it right).

I need MAJOR help with the third boss (Plague Beetle). D:

Second hardest boss (I've fought). At the first form, use the spear to get rid of the purple slime as you walk through the floor. Try to time its jumps so you can jump over it with the plattaforms (you can try to go below it so you can attack it more, but you can be hit by the bullet thing easilly though).
On the second form, switch to the axe. Try to get rid of the slime while it's in mid-air and attack it when it's "stuck" in the ground. Also keep an eye for the small ones.
For the third form I have no idea. =/

My method for Plague Beetle's first form was to stand almost perfectly still. Let him jump over you, jump out of the way of the bullet, and sling axes. You don't have to move much.

Eh, I snag at the whole "jumping over the bullet" part, I can only time it right half the time. I make use of the platforms to dodge him, but usually I don't have enough health left to even clear the second form, which is much easier than the first, for me anyway.

What buttons are you using to do what, xp? I use C to jump and V to attack, and I didn't even know I COULD do that until before I started raping the game.
