Well, for him, that would've sucked on areas like E1M8, E2M8, E3M8, etc. that required you to kill in order to pass through the area. (without cheating)

Doom 95 allowed you to start at any level, so it wasn't a problem. Even then, I had a list of codes printed out.

iddt (twice) was a personal favorite.

I tend to shy away from doing anything that could have a potentially large impact these days. Even if the impact is on a relatively small (one person) area. Yeah. ....

I guess a lot of it results from me having done a lot of stupid things at some points, which makes it harder to take risks later.
