I figured I'd post some screens over here aswell.

http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/9980/lolpb1.png

I started this a few weeks ago. I finished (most of) reprogramming parts of the ROM and I'm trying to piece together the editor end of it. It's horrifically trashy but I do have a working track viewer for now.

2 other tracks in 0.25x zoom. Last pics until I make a thread or something.

This link (http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/5947/dw1tl7.png) isn't working. Oh well...

... I seem to recall somebody else having done a lot of work on F-Zero, as well. Nice to see that it isn't dead.

(Also nice to see that the palette editor is LM-inspired, at least from looks... that one was very easy to use and understand)

Minor update, but it's an update nonetheless .

An improved lavender Yoshi. The shade of lavender on this Yoshi is slightly lighter, and it eliminates that strange shade on Mario's hat and Yoshi's tongue.

The link seems to work fine now, for whatever reason that sector of image shack must've been down.

I saw that VL-Tone and Heian did alot of work on it in the archives, it must've been one of those two I think. I didn't have many ideas for the palette editor, so I just styled it like LM's. I think it works fairly well.

I ripped a BG from Mario Bros!

Get it here.

Also, it's a pain to rip animations from GBA games.

Dude... That BG is effing fantastic. No questions. Wonderful job.

I should seriously post the ExGfx files for my Sonic the Hedgehog rips... Dust Hill, Ice Cap, Launch Base... And I'll need more later... Whew... But I might just use these graphics you ripped for SMTI. We'll see.

You gonna put that up on SMWC? Go for it, I say.

Thanks, it took a while to assemble that; especially if you look at the number 8x8 tiles compared to the 16x16 tiles.

I might rip other backgrounds from the Mario Bros. arcade game too, but the fire one was the one that stood out to me most when I played it on my GBA.

Edit: Also, something you should know is that the BG is really short and not suited for tall levels, considering the GBA screen is apparently smaller than the SMAS screen. You could probably assemble more of it if you wanted to though.

The joy of Squaresoft to Nintendo sound engine conversion:
http://math.arc-nova.org/music_savestates/

Requires "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" rom and Snes9x. SPCs will be available at some point, but since these are intended to be full conversions eventually, they shouldn't sound much different, if at all, to the original versions. These demos will sound a bit different, but they are just demos, after all. Enjoy.

Abusing the Windows API can be fun.

For being a gross misuse of the two programs, it works well. (Notice no taskbar icon, either. The "HEY" is a different window.) Others don't react as nicely. (Put Calculator inside Notepad. Byebye Calculator!)

Now, for an NBA Jam Old-School Edition update:

Chuck Norris is in as a secret player. Also, the regular roster is finished! Avery Johnson and Eddie Johnson are just two of many "new" players.

For those of you who haven't heard, NBA Jam Old-School Edition is a hack of NBA Jam Tournament Edition for the SNES.

Features(those which haven't been implemented are marked with an asterisk):
  • 1992-93 roster with many players from the original arcade version
  • Unlicensed players! (Jordan, Barkley, O'Neal)
  • Player attributes now display correctly(10 is displayed when a player has a 10 in an attribute)
  • 1992-93 team colors/logos
  • 30+ secret players, both old and new*
  • New secret team*
  • Backboard breaking*
  • Fix the bug where your initials wouldn't appear on the Grand Champions list*
  • Many other cosmetic changes sprinkled here and there

AHAHA, Chuck Norris plays basketball... XD Gah, I was so close to thinking of a funny basketball-related Chuck Norris Fact, but I lost it... Anyway, that looks awesome.

Here, I'm showing another video, only because it has a new custom sprite I designed. Introducing the Pelican Brother.

<object width="425" height="355"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KwpemCNMOqE&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

He'll soon be available on SMWC's database for everyone to use.

Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
--------------------------------

At first, I thought the Pelican Bro. was a GFX modification of the Shell Bro, but I guess I was wrong.

Looks nice as usual Schwa. I'm still liking that Launch Base BG. Well done with the whole Sonic 3 ripping.

Seeing Chuck Norris in NBA Jam and Schwa's Pelican in his video made me laugh really hard! I'm in a good mood, thanks fellas I needed the laugh, and the previews look cool.

So not only do Chuck Norris's tears cure cancer but he can dunk from 30 feet away?

What this screenshot doesn't show:

- New font
- Removal of that stupid %-attack-wait thing
- Some other minor graphic edits

This makes the game a lot more fun to, you know. Play.

What exactly does that mean? Just that all attacks are full-power, regardless of the %?
