So, I was watching Nightline tonight and they had a segment on designer water. By designer, I mean luxury brand water. Analogous to jeans from target vs. the most expensive clothing brand you can think of. I felt it was ridiculous what some people would pay: $30 for a Japanese brand, $40 for water from India, and to the upwards of $60 dollars for an English brand.
So yeah, would you pay for such a thing? Supposedly, one can tell the difference between some of them. *shrugs* I won't drink tap water explicitly, but I wouldn't fork over an arm and a leg and a portion of my torso for some of that stuff. |

I prefer the $.25/gallon crap Glacier/whatever offers. Purified (rather than just filtered), still dirt cheap.
(Although that's mostly because I think the filtered tap water here tastes really, really off)

My town is well known for having the best tasting tap water among the towns around us, so I drink that. Seriously, if I went to Agawam, a town over, and drank their water, it tastes like tin.
So no, I don't really care for priced water especially if it costs that much.

I seem to recall that my hometown has some of the more expensive tap water in the state (to the point where at one point the state subsidized our costs- I don't know if they still do), as the local water company (now part of some mega water conglomerate) keeps bilking us on some treatment plant built over ten years ago, so we're paying enough already

Um... it is just water. Sure some taste different but that is just because of how they filter them and whatnot.
So hell no I wouldn't pay $60 for water. I'll pay a dollar for a bottle if I need one and besides I usually drink tea made with tap water.

Worst I've topped out at was 2 bucks for one but that was on a day when I needed it bad enough.
Sides, every day I'm taking an Aquafina one-liter bottle in (not a new one every day) to fill up with the tap. Keeps the urge to blow the cash on soda down and save a good 40 or so dollars a month on the penny-suck.

I don't really like water all that much. Sure, some may taste different from others, but I sure as hell won't spend $40 or more dollars for something I could get out of the sink. I just use water to make some instant noodles, which gives the water a nice taste that I like.

I prefer bottled water over tap water. The tap water here doesn't taste very good and unless you let it run for a few minutes it turns out warm and a bit foggy .

| I would not pay for pure water, no matter how 'luxurious' it may be. Flavoured water, I would pay maximum 15 NOK for one 0,5 l bottle. But I rarely drink flavoured water, anyway. |

 | | Tapwater. As long as it's cold, I'll drink it
We put tapwater in empty water bottles for when we go places
When we were travelling, they had cheap water. I think a litre for 50 cents

I pay nothing for water. What I pay for is to buy a filter. Water bill yah okay, we pay it, but, otherwise...my water is free, and clean |

I used to be a straight tap drinker. I never saw anything wrong with our water. I guess ever since my mom bought the Brita filter, I've been using that one too. I also notice whenever I'm in PA, the water tastes like chemicals. It must be because they need to sanitize it due to all the cow manure.
