No, it's the Hooniversity from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
Eh.. try making it use another palette so i doesn't messes up the cement blocks. =/
Just a suggestion, though.

Darklink, don't act like a n00b. You know you can always change the palettes of the cement blocks or the background so it isn't a problem. But if you think you can make it better go ahead... I just needed something to stand on.

wtf
Did you read what I wrote? It was a suggestion. Why do you call me n00b?
And that BG, I like it. Probably I won`t use it though.

Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!
--------------------------------

Anyone who used to go to SMWC will know these, but for anyone who hasn't...

<object width="425" height="355"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XD1bKEgJf6I&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Here are ten songs I did a while ago - they are some of my best, so I figured they would be the most obvious ones to show. I've actually done close to, if not over 200, from last July until now, so yeah.

Realize that thanks to SMW's shitty instrumentation, this is as close as you can get on the instruments unless you hack samples.

Enjoy. See if you can name all 10.

Hm... The level with the platforms going up and down, I'm pretty sure was an alternate theme from Hyrule Temple in SSB. After that was clearly Rainbow Road of Mario Kart 64 (probably the best one BTW), and then one that sounds an awful lot like the LTTP first castle theme. (I'll admit that one took me a few guesses... but I identified it as a castle theme immediately. )

A lot of them sound vaguely familiar, but maybe only because of the SMW instruments. Good stuff though.

That one in level 2, though... way too loud.

The one you're thinking of as alt music from Temple is "Encounter" from Fire Emblem. That Rainbow Road was the one from Mario Kart 64, and the LTTP castle variant was used in Twilight Princess at the top of the castle, if I'm not mistaken?

Otherwise, I heard Mystic Cave Zone (Sonic 2), Death Egg Zone Act 1 (Sonic & Knuckles), and Figaro Castle/Edgar's Theme (Final Fantasy VI).

Good stuff.

Yes, the Hyrule one is the final part of Hyrule Castle in Twilight Princess. The one from Fire Emblem is called "Together We Ride", which was from 7.

Thanks for the comments.

Insta-wins for Kirby 64's Ripple Star theme.

I can recognize them all except for the world map and the switch... =/

Pretty good job there anyways.

That Death Egg Zone track... I tried using that in a hack a few months ago, when I was playing around with AddMusic, and there were problems with it. Whenever I hit a ? Block, all but one of the percussion tracks would turn off until the music looped. Did you know about that bug?

I really liked the Mystic Cave theme. You did a great job on that. I mean you did good on all of them, but that one in particular stood out more as being well done.

On a side note, the music for Boothoven's Fort in Keytastrophe RULES. I had that playing over and over in my head as I designed the cave level for my own hack. That would be a great SPC to have so I could listen to it while I work on my hack... I've been making do with MP3s of random games (the one I listen to depends on my mood at the time).

Are you, like, an Asperger or something? You're so good with music it wouldn't surprise me... (Being called an Asperger is a compliment, by the way, not a negative thing like most people think.)

Anyway, I hope to hear more from you. Seriously, hearing your works of audio art is in some ways more wonderful than screenshots and videos. I don't imagine you take requests, but if you do, Ristar had some pretty awesome music...

Thanks for the compliments Schwa. Which of the fort themes did you like - this one or this? I know I used them both there, so meh.

Also, I took a bunch of requests on SMWC. 8/10 of those songs were actually requested (Into the Thick of it and Ambi's Palace were the only two that were not) If you have a specific song you'd like, just punt me a MIDI and I'll give it a run.

About that bug .. meh, I probably screwed up with the channels somewhere then. Thanks for pointing it out.

The first one. Thanks for linking me... I'm listening to it right now.

Any ramifications to the Midis? I have several, but they're all pretty complex, with lots of instruments and effects... If you need me to find you a simpler one, let me know.

Eh, I'll PM you later... *goes to check YouTube account*

Schwa, about that flying flame boss you had...

How about making it sometimes stop and spit out a block or a shell? Just that the battlefield wouldn't need any weaponry, and it could be a bit harder

Actually I was planning on either re-doing the Fryguy from scratch, or scrapping it altogether in exchange for another custom boss. It's just... not very good is all...

Since you're all pretty much tired of my videos, I have some ordinary screenshots of my newer stuff. The first one shows my Ice World submap, the second is showing off my 3-hour-plus, completely-hand-ripped Sonic 3 Ice Cap Zone ExGfx.

Yeah, I know the ice sheets in the water in the background aren't there... I didn't have enough room in the sprite banks for those tiles. I still think this is pretty good. And yes, I do plan on making it available to the public at some point.

The BG is ripped beautifully; however, in all honestly, it really doesn't match the SMB3 FG at all. It almost clashes. I'm assuming this is just a test of the BG, but if it isn't, I'd highly recommend changing the FG.
