510 I lost Super Mario Advance once.

...

I got another copy eventually.

And then my Lumines disc isn't working... Dunno what happened to it.

Huh, I had one do the same thing. I swear those memory controller chips are defective. I've had multiple Super Mario Land carts die too and they use the same chips.

My Stunt Race FX cart is in three pieces- Front, Back, and PCB. Still works fine when it's in the SNES, just needs to be taped together otherwise.

And if you're wondering, I did that on purpose, I was planning on converting it to Star Fox 2, though that kinda died out. Still has an SF2 label I made for it though XD

Dude, if you ever decide you don't want that, send it to me! I love that game, but it has some emulation issues in both ZSNES and SNES9x.

I can't believe I forgot to mention this, but my SNES broke: a chunk of the shell broke off somehow. I'm not sure exactly when or how; I remember waking up and getting ready to play my SNES when I saw it. I retrieved some duct tape and plastic wrap to keep anything from falling into it, and kept playing it. It didn't die until two or three years later. I fully intend to buy another one, possibly from an old friend who's considering selling his.

I can't be totally sure, but I have a VERY strong feeling that my brother cracked my Nomad's original screen cover several years ago (thankfully, the screen still works). I just remember walking into my room and finding it on the floor with a giant crater in the middle. It would probably be worth a decent amount of money now if it weren't for that little incident...

When I was at my friends house a long time ago my friend accidentally dropped his original Game Boy in his pool. We fished it out and it surprisingly enough still worked

That reminds me when my brother put the Gameboy in a cooler with melted ice. It still worked, but the display was all messed up. Without a light and holding it at a certain angle, you couldn't see anything. I eventually sold it with two games that we had for about $10. I actually enjoyed those games .

What the hell. Nintendium really is stronger than any other known material. :o

I don't think I've actually had anything horrible happen to my games...despite allowing my now 7 year old sister to use them.

Here's one, how about a 4 year old going on the Gamecube and randomly erasing save games! Or corrupting memory cards!

I went to use my X360 for once today and it wouldn't turn on. I ended up having to unplug everything for a few minutes, and then it started up... and then I discover the controller battery is dead and I don't know where I put the charging cable. >:

Corrupt memory cards was a major problem I had- I remember a situation I had when I tried to trade a shiny chao from Sonic Adventure DX to Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, wiped out the entire chao data for both games...

And an odd story about SA:DX- at some point the disk got destroyed (basically somehow ended up under the carpet for a long period of time- it stayed in one piece- one heavily scratched piece...) and my younger brother buried it in the backyard

I lost my Mariokart DS cart up in the mountains, about 5 hours from here by car. Last time I take my DS games camping with me.

Also my SNES has a busted power port on the back, the plastic piece in teh middle is broken, and has been for a while. All that's there now is the metal connector for the pin in the cord's plug. Still works, though

Yeah, mine is finicky too. You have to have the cord in just the right position or it dies. A bit of duct tape fixed that though.

Heh, a few of my N64 games are missing chunks of their connectors and still work.

Most of my games still work. SA2: Battle is getting long in the tooth, as is Melee, but my Wii can read them (The Gamecube cannot.)

My NES is near death but if I smack it around the pins inside work (Yes, I know that problem).

I had a defective Zelda 2 golden cart, but industrial cleaning foam made it work like new--and the fancy label's just fine, too.

A few of my carts are dented, or old, but even my old Sega Genesis works. One of the controllers are basically dead, though--ironically, the one which doesn't have a huge hole in the insulation on the connector cable.

My Sega Genesis CDX has never had a failure, though I recently heard that they were supposed to be very prone to failures... the 6-button controller I have is missing a chunk of the plastic on one of the top corners, though.
