| Well, I wanted to ask if there's an easy way to determine how the CPU enemys are driving the course how you are. I use this tool but I can't change how the enemys will drive. Can someone point me in a direction that isn't too hard? |

| No one really understands the AI format just yet. There appears to be two sets of data where one has X / Y coords and another has angle data. It's one of those things I'd like to get around to deciphering. |

I expect soon, someone will probably make something so that all one needs to do, is simply draw a line as to where the karts will travel |

| That would be the easiest way I guess. You draw 5 or 6 lines and the CPU chooses randomly one of this lines and drive like this. |

I thought it was solved several months ago.
In fact, I remember someone posting an image of the points of the CPU paths and explaining how they work.
Or my memory could fail me :X |

| The X / Y points were figured out long ago, but there is another set of data tied to it. Changing the checkpoint locations alone won't give you a functioning AI. |

| Ufff... seems very complicated to me. But anyways, thanks for the find, I will have a good use for it. (Atleast I hope it) |

My Site | OK Impala and Stifu reported having a lot of luck altering the AI paths IIRC, they're completely redoing the courses and last I checked they'd gotten AI to work with them, at least that's what I thought.

According to http://stifu.free.fr/, smkdan has joined the "Epic Racers" hack,
so it seems that the AI is not really 100% figured out yet, judging from the
last smkdan post. Maybe smkdan could shed some light on the current problems they are facing regarding the other set of data?!
Anyway, I need to check Stifu's notes to see if there is more revelant information, maybe it has more explanations on that other set of data. |
