What problem? What about the fireball?

Neat, the Ninji is just awesome!
And the panser... It's awesome too!! But... I think it throws way TOO many fireballs.

If you have two fire-flower fireballs on the screen when a coin is generated, one of them disappears. Guess why.

Well, that's easily changeable... Problem is I haven't marked which values to change very well. Somewhere in there there's an "AND #$07", which if you change to "AND #$0F" causes the Panser to fire at only half the rate. Also, near the beginning of the file are two CMP commands that relate to the Frame Number; if these are changed, you can control what exact frames are when the Panser changes from closed to open and vice versa.

Some other time I'll mark these down and re-upload for more customizability.

Since the walking Ninji is based off the Shyguy, is it rideable/carryable with certain configurations?

(to Boing) I believe so. I haven't tested rideability or carryability, but by all accounts it should function perfectly. Same with the Panser.

(to Googie) JOIIIIIN ussssssssss...

Edit: Here, new video. This level is one I made like 2 weeks ago. I dunno, there's something about it I don't particularly like... Can anyone tell me what it is?

The link is broken anyway

As for the movie, it looks pretty good- I haven't been keeping up with SMW developments for awhile, I didn't know you could do so much with custom sprites...

(to Boing) Think back to Paper Mario. Bingo, flying Bloopers. It's legit.

(to Imajin) I hear that! It still boggles me how they could figure all this out with the SMW code and stuff... But it's here, it exists, I can touch it (sorta), so you won't hear any complaints outta me.

(to all) Time for the most complicated level I've ever designed. Maybe.

<object width="425" height="350"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Rf26YSh5KCc" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> </embed> </object>

The level has two themes. The first is that when you go in and out of a door with a sign of an enemy above it, that enemy will appear in the main hub. (I got this from Wario Land II.) The other thing the level centers around is the On/Off Switch. I set up some pretty crafty puzzles with this thing.

Let me know what you think.

Holy crap! That is one of the best levels I've ever seen!
I bet that took a while to make...
Anyway, I really hope you release that soon!

Btw, how many of your levels we haven't seen? You shouldn't make vids of al the levels you make. It.. it ruins the surprise of playing the hack.

Oh... I dunno, I think it's justified since I won't be releasing any demos at all until it's finished, except to my 3 beta testers... I just want to keep all my followers up to date and stuff (by followers I mostly mean my supporters over at YouTube). Besides, I like making videos with different music and stuff. What I'll do is remove all the videos from my Channel when the hack is just about completely finished, or at least set them to "Hidden Mode" so only some people can see them.

But you're right... From now on I'll only occasionally post my videos here-- but I'll still post them all on YouTube, so that way people at least get the option of seeing them.

That doesn't mean I have to like it. D:

Anyways, that level looks so damn confusing I don't think that I'd ever be able to get through it. If all your levels end up like this you'll need to write a walkthrough for your hack.

Small update - new icons and paths. I think the 8th note and falsetto turned out quite well, but looking for others' feedback as well.

Clever idea, I don't recall ever seeing any graphic edits of the OW dots.

Don't want to show any more levels of SMW2+2, but I'll show one more screen of Secret 1: Chomp Rock And Roll, of a different area with a bit more detail.

Great idea, but wouldn't that be an eight note and a fermata, rather than falsetto? Just a nitpick of mine Awesome overworld, by the way.

YOWZERS, that submap... Talk about menacing! From the YouTube videos I've seen and the screenshots here, I can tell your hack has more of a "dark side" to it than most typical SMW hacks. Don't worry, that's not a bad thing.

You should show us a screenshot of one of the levels for that World. ...Or are you just working on the Overworlds for now and saving the levels for later? I'm not telling you how to run your hack; don't get the wrong idea...

Hey, you know how I said I wouldn't show any more videos? I lied. I can't help it. If I have a video up I want to show the entire world. So here's one with several new features, including Buster Beetles (blue shelless koopa tweaks), Pansers (from the other video), speed-booster wheels (straight from Sonic 2's Chemical Plant Zone), and thunderbolts that fall from the heavens (thanks to Davros for the original shooter-type sprite this was based off of). The name of the level: Roadrunner Hill.

Nice! This level is something I want to play. The music is from Banjo-Kazooie right? Anyways, the Buster Beetles are looking weird with that red, grey colors. Can you change it to the normal colors like in SMAS? The panser spits too many fireballs, it looks hard to avoid them. Otherwise I liked the level, it was long and looks really funny.

I'm guessing the Buster Beetles are just a GFX edit of the shell-kicking Koopas?
@Schwa, that is a very menacing submap. It's ironic how the music notes are so innocent

Small clip of my SM Hack. This is Cyclonia, the Brinstar-like area.
