Funny what people do without an Internet connection. When mine was down for a few days (just moved, new line being installed) I learned the basics of OpenGL from the documentation I had for some reason on my hard drive. Managed to make a simple 3D environment with no hit detection in a couple days. (Of course, doing hit detection = AGH SO MUCH MATH...)
