I've been hearing about this and everyone said it was a great show, so I finally decided to watch it.

It's very odd.


So far I've seen episodes 1-11(dubbed) and 12-20(subbed), and apparently each "season" runs 19 episodes because in ep20 the theme song+intro thingy changed. (It's got a pretty good theme song (the old one, that is)).

Summary: This is a very strange (but rather good) show.

As far as I know, there's 37 eps. and a 2-hour recap that has...like...5 minutes of stuff not already in the series. It'll throw you for a loop until the end, really.

Said theme song is What's Up People? by Maximum the Hormone. It's rather popular, to say the least.

And I still fail to see why. I disliked it deeply and I can't imagine anyone even slightly liking that song.

Either way, the Anime is great (take this from a person who hasn't read the Manga). I saw the subbed eps back a few months ago and it's very intense.

I'm currently watching the anime, about halfish through the second season now

Death Note of course has this very dark tone to it, so I thought all of the songs pretty much fit. I seem to like them all too, but even so "What's Up People?" is still a little creepy sometimes ><;;

I really like the intellectual game Light is always playing. Even though he is scary when he's all Kami-sama'd out, sometimes he really amazes me.

Honestly, how it ended out in general was fitting of the whole series period.

EDIT: Got stopped due to work. What I meant was just all the events leading up to the conclusion were something else. The whole entire cat-and-mouse game that's played by the entire series is woven together dangerously well. Every single episode and scenario was done really well and how it all comes together is awesome enough.

I haven't seen all of it, I still need to get my hands on the last few episodes. But what I've seen has been very good. I like the stuff with L and Light the best -- the stuff I've seen a bit later hasn't interested me quite as much.

I need to find somewhere I can get those last few episodes, as generally it's a very good series, even if some of the logic is a bit "strange".
