I had one (1) message in Discord deleted and proceeded to make a huge, huge mess about how it was a violation of free speech and how moderators are supposed to be spam janitors and nobody should have the right to tell me not to talk about school shootings

20K as in 20KM/h. Yeah, that pickup may be pretty powerful, but I don't think it's capable of reaching mach 1.6.

I am annoyed. Really.

I have been going to a psychology class for few weeks now, every Tuesday and Thursday. They are at the evening, very late I think since they end at 21.00. Anyways, it doesn't bother me, except I am always a little tired listening to the teacher.

But.

There is this guy in front of me, sitting on his chair. There is nothing wrong, except that every time our teacher finishes a sentence, he says "Mhm." Every. Single. Sentence. It's like a automatic answer machine. "blablablabla. Mhm. blablablablabla. Mhm."

There is no fucking Accept / Decline button in front of you every time the teacher says something to you!

Christ.

How can small things bug me so much?

Oh, I'd be annoyed too.

I don't understand how Flash 8 managed to reach production without being bug-tested. I mean when you paste in an image it fucking pastes upside-down! How was this not noticed during testing? And do you know what happens if there's a typo in your script? The entire script gets ignored, and it writes a message explaining the problem to the output window, followed by the usual 200 lines of size reports and so on to hide it, leaving you spending an hour trying to find out why it's ignoring your script.

Then, trying to get it to load an XML file from the server... I guess the player is broken too, because:
  • In the IDE, it works (but of course I have to specify an absolute URL for the file).
  • Accessed as a local file (through the filesystem), it works.
  • Accessed through the local network (192.168.0.100), it works.
  • Accessed through the Internet, it does NOT work, unless Proxomitron is running to log the headers for me.

The "fix" for this was to load the page with the Flash in it, then go to another page, then keep hitting Back and Forward several times. The more I did this, the more likely it was to work; now that I've done that, it works every time. WTF?

Streaming MP3s revealed another interesting bug. That worked fine, but when I deleted the MP3 file and put in a new one with the same name, magically it still read the old one. I had to rename it to get it to stop doing this.

Actually, if you are copying from mspaint, in actuality the picture is being saved upside-down. Copying from other resources seems to work fine with me.

That may not be the case. After all, we (or at least, I) don't know what direction it's pasted to the clipboard. So, this could be Microsoft's fault for making the BMP format upside-down, or Adobe for overcompensating for Windows bugs.

Hello, broken cache!

Is it really that hard to send an HTTP request to see if the file's changed? Even Internet Explorer can do that right.

My site is mostly links to free software. Guides on using said software will be put there eventually. Sooner if you bug me about it.

Yes, I'm aware of the stupid format. That doesn't go very far to excuse such an obvious bug, though.

Yeah, there's definitely a broken cache somewhere causing a lot of weird bugs. I'm starting to suspect it's in Firefox.
