He doesn't mean entirely underwater. He means a level like The Distant Spring, where water was all over the map, yet was only a foot or so deep.

You just know Beady Long Legs is going to be in there somewhere, either as a boss (not likely) or an Assist Trophy. If there is going to be a Pikmin boss, it's probably going to be Emperor Bulblax or Titan Dweevil.


And I bet Olimar's stage will probably look something like the landing site from the first one, with some kind of tree stump in the background.

A stage winding around the various roots of a tree with giant pebbles, avoiding the fare of bulborbs. That would be awesome. I can also see the landing site from Pikmin 1 being the stage.

Also, Titan Dweevil or Emperor Bulblax ftw.

You're totally right. That would be amazing.

Know what, people can't make the size argument anymore about characters. Olimar and the Pikmin are supposed to be only a couple inches tall, according to Nintendo, and whether or not the planet Pikmin live on is Earth.

Um, considering Sakurai said on the site for the very first SSE posting, the world of Smash consists of trophies fighting, and the trophies are relatively the same size.

Therefore the size arguement does not apply in Smash, as it is its own universe.

I took a quick stroll down update lane and took a quick notice when I stumbled on one of the entries. I'm 98% certain this has been mentioned before, but consider the following...

Various odd-ball Assist Trophies, such as Devil, Excite Bike and Stafy all use the generic Smash Bros. emblem as their icons.
Samurai Goroh, on the other hand, uses an icon that supposedly shouldn't be there. Old news, I know.


Now, we're all very certain Captain Falcon will be making his return. But what of these?


Yes, there happen to be Animal Crossing and Nintendo DS stages, but... aren't the emblems used for characters, not stages?

They could just use them to represent the stages as well.

In Melee they represented both, as, well, there weren't anything from outside series, so each icon went to both characters and stages. However, in Brawl, the icons could be there just to represent stages and characters, but not necesarilly be both.

Where were they used to identify stages? I'm reminded of the mini 3D model in the lower-left corner of the stage select screen. Did that show emblems?
