2021 was certainly not too eventful but interesting for me.

Atleast weed edibles helped me keep depression at bay through most of it. It hasn't been perfect but I have atleast been able to function without being suicidal most the time.

I was able to finish my transition. Getting your gender marker changed in France requires going to court and it takes about one year, so I'm glad this is over.

I found that I have synesthesia. A while later, it even started expanding, not sure where this ends and if the weed is involved but I would rather be like this than be suicidal again.

I'm trying to find a job that may work out for me, but this is bit of a shitfest right now.

Oh well.

2021 is the most empty and hollow I personally felt in a long time. I'm not working, hardly leaving the house and have little to no motivation to do anything.

Swings and roundabouts though, it helps knowing how many people are in the same boat currently.

I also consider that 2021 was an unexciting year for me, in those precise moments of taking advantage of 2021 they were a bit annoying in the sense of many tasks, two or 3 hours to sleep after doing so much homework, biting pencils, fighting over the internet, but fine now.

In 2021 I accomplished...not much really. A lot of my projects are still stagnated, burnout was high, stress was high, motivation was low and so was my attention span.

However, one noticeable thing that happened is that I grew closer to a couple of people who I can now trust as extremely close friends and I have made plans to visit them soon. They have helped me in many ways throughout 2021. I was feeling like I was wandering pointlessly through life, and now thanks to them I feel like I have a path I want to follow, unfortunately having something to work towards is now giving me a lot of anxiety I don't know how to handle. And even more unfortunate, is that this year is going to be complicated in terms of finances and managing time, but I went back to living with my father so that we can help each other for the time being, again. Work is currently stable, and college has been a disaster. Oh and I'm living in an apartment now. There's 3 bedrooms, but only 2 people living here.

That said, the current financial situation is barely sustainable and I already told him that if neither of us are able to improve our earnings by July then we'll have to move yet again. Otherwise, we're going to be stuck with earning barely enough money to pass by each month, and that is a dicey situation to be in, specially when I have plans to visit a foreign country (which will be...extremely expensive).

And as far as the world went in 2021...

well, that didn't work. i'll spare the details, but it seems like 2022 might end up being the second half of 2021

i try to avoid retrospectives. i can't change the past, so what's the point of dwelling over it and imagining what could have been different? it got me where i am now
