See, I don't see any problem with the topics, really. Silliness comes and goes—I don't see a point in having a moderator "clean up" every time things get a bit silly. Things will return to "normal" again and the threads will disappear on their own all in time.
Course, I don't see the point of too much control over a forum in general. Of course I agree that there needs to be some, to keep control of obvious things like abuse, harassment, flaming, etc, but a little silliness?
