The demo was built before the game, but yeah on second thought, it might be too boring to document.

Any differences that could be "developmental" differences (and not just stuff like they added a time limit/level restriction to the demo) are worth documenting.

The text/graphic leftovers appear to be the same as the final game. The only thing documenting it might help with is discerning what was added when (i.e. late additions).

That would also be something covered by TCRF.

I made some suggestions in Discord, but since that moves so fast, I'll repeat them here.

1. Games with unused translations. Eg: Donkey Kong Country and Star Fox Adventures. Both have several languages to choose from in the European versions, but only English in the US versions; however, the US versions do feature the other languages, accessible by hacking.

2. Screenshots of unused maps.

I have recently added some images to this page. Unfortunately I didn't know there is a convention for naming the files (eg: AFAIK it should be prefixed by game name with an underscore between). It seems it's not possible to rename those files afterwards.

What should I do ?
1) leave it like that.
2) re-upload the files with proper names and edit page (which mean images will be twice on TCRF wiki)
3) ask an admin to rename the files.
Here is the page in question :

Also:
I would like to add a new page for Quarantine (1994) DOS. There is not current page for it and I don't have permissions. How to proceed ?

Unless there has been an unusual change in how the wiki works, you should be able to move files to a new name by clicking More>Move in the top right of the page. You should then edit the redirect page that is created in the place of the original name to add a "{{delete}}" tag like "{{delete|file redirect}}", and then change the references on the game page to reflect the new file names.

You can create new pages by navigating to the page name you want to create (type it in the browser address bar or the search bar).

Thanks for your help. I was able to do what you suggested.

I have a question about terminology. Sometimes there are screenshots on the game box or manual that do not match the final version of the game. Is "Prerelease" the proper term used to describe these? I'm confused because the manual and box are part of the finished release of the game, so it wouldn't really be "pre-release".

Despite the confusing terminology, prerelease/pre-release is what TCRF uses to mean "media that depicts early versions of the game or development info". The exception being media that was leaked from the company - that would go in the Development namespace.

Hello, so far I have been contributing to the Cutting Room Floor Dot Net with this article on the PC game Platoon (2002). A few times, I have tried to find an article online that discussed unused content for this game. With no luck in finding such an article, I was left with no choice but to take it upon myself to create this article here: https://tcrf.net/Platoon_(Windows) So far, I have been exhausting myself trying to find unused content all by myself ever since I created the article back in January, as it seems that I'm the only TCRF user that owns this game. Sure it looks like there's already plenty of information in the article, but I'm convinced that there's more stuff hiding in the files that I haven't found yet. Not only that, but I'm also trying to fully iron out the problems in the Editor Mode that causes the crashing. If anybody else here owns this game and wishes to help out with searching for unused content in the game, that would be really appreciated. Thank you very much!

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
