Getting a general consensus, since it's been a while, but is there really any need, in a personal computer setting with a common setup/individual, not attached to any major business or highly sensitive environment...to use much more than what comes with Windows for anti-virus (Windows Security)? The only thing I'll add to machines like that anymore is something like uBlock Origin in the default browser but outside of that I've seen little reason to complicate things any further than it used to be.
Secure Boot kinda took most of that market away from me. Most I'll see anymore is scams and that kind of social engineering rather than an active malware case. And in the off-chance I do need to do something with a system, the most I've had to run on a machine is something like AdwCleaner which is now owned by the corporation that made Malwarebytes which I hardly ever recommend using anymore either.
I'm just wondering if I might've missed something otherwise. I've seen very little in this regard in the last several years.
