Ness was an awesome character to play as, hopefully he's in Brawl. If not, Lucas will be good as well. I'm just hoping the inclusion of Lucas means Mother 3 will get a US release like Fire Emblem did after Melee.

Interesting.

Anyone noticed the Pokemon Trainer here?

You're right... What's he out standing on? There was no platform there in Melee.

Edit: There's no platform added for the stage overview shot.

There is no platform there period. If the Pokemon Trainer wasn't there, there would be no platform. See the other picture of Brinstar.

So, apparently the Pokemon Trainer either stands on the back end of the stage or on a back platform that changes for certain types of stages.
This is so awesome.

He's got his own platform. That totally explains how he'd stand around on flying stages like Delfino Plaza and Battleship Halberd.

Like you said, totally awesome.

It makes you wonder how he will work in a stage like...

My guess: Magic Carpet/Misc. Floating platfrom in the background following the screen as it moves around.

Or he jumps with the stage? </Hopeful.>

I could be wrong here, but that looks like a completely new platform he's standing on, as it's not shown in the screenshot above it. Unless, of course, Samus's huge laser is obscuring the fact it's not really a big rock but two pillars in the foreground.

But I'm more inclined to believe it's a new floating rock.

I remember seeing somewhere he had his own platform to stand on. It might've been a screenshot of Delfino Plaza. I'm pretty sure he has his own special platform.

That would be awesome, but I'm going to say that he flies around on a carpet. Also, I'm glad we got Rainbow Ride, that's great, but where is Big Blue? Seriously, how could they not include the awesome that is/was Big Blue? *sigh*

Who said it wasn't going to be added?

Actually, this just sparked my brain a bit. If we're holding out saying that secret characters won't be included on the website at first, what is there that says secret stages won't as well? Of course, that says we'll be getting all the melee returning stages right away, which doesn't quite feel like something Nintendo would do. Just some food for thought.

I don't think we will get every stage (of course this is unpredictable as is all Brawl information is) but considering a Wii game can hold a lot of data I wouldn't be suprised. I think it can hold more than double a Gamecube disc, so stage data probably isn't that large...

Of course I'm not sure about hardware/software schematics and sizes, so someone has to inform me of it...

We've been thinking about this kind of thing for a while; which characters and stages will be hidden from the start, even from the characters/stages we know of already.

The enemies look pretty huge... but they each resemble a character, just as the Wireframes had the posture of Capitan Falcon and Zelda, which Red Alloy and Blue Alloy seem to use again. The Green Alloy's style is a lot like Kirby's, as is even pointed out, and Yellow Alloy reminds me of a certain possible character from a franchise with a stage, item and icon with no shown character.

Well, technically Wii discs are slightly modified DVD's... so if the game's dual-layer then it could be quite huge. Doubt it is but you never know.

We'll need a huge SPOILER ALERT once the game comes out in Japan because I'm sure a lot of us want to... discover things for ourselves.

And I think that the 3rd party characters are unlockables for sure, so that would be Snake and Sonic. I doubt we have a 20-man starting roster... but isn't one of the adventure levels revolved around saving Zelda or Peach? Maybe the one you rescue is unlocked and you have to wait for the other one.

Just a heads up, DVD's for the Wii can only hold the same as a regular DVD. The ISOs are 4.7GB, so yeah. No Dual-Layer here

However, the Wii can read Dual-Layer DVD movies (Simple homebrew that boots them is needed) and ones with homebrew/GCN games. Pretty neat if you ask me.

If the Japanese one works on my modchip, I'll make sure to tell you guys all of the spoilers.

In spoiler tags of course.

The Fighting Alloy Team looks pretty awesome. Think they'll have a role in Subspace Emissary?

I half expected Yellow Alloy to be the Kirbyish one, but that works too.

When I first saw the Yellow Alloy I thought of Geolyte, actually. :0
