You can embed YouTube videos by using the tag [youtube](video id)[/youtube].

For example, given the YouTube video URL "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZAl0lYZhO4" or "https://youtu.be/gZAl0lYZhO4" , you can generate the embed by writing: [youtube]gZAl0lYZhO4[/youtube]

When BBCode is rendered, it shows up as this:



This is mentioned in the FAQ, alongside a few other types of BBCode.



As for other websites... it isn't supported. You can only embed videos from YouTube.

There's no way to ping other users through the board, I'm afraid.

The closest way I know is to connect to the Jul Discord or IRC channel and ping other users from there, but it kind of defeats the point and some users go by different nicknames on Discord.

Well, there's also the Private Messages functionality, since users do get notified on every page if there are any unread PMs. As the name suggests though, it's private so it may also defeat the point.
